Miramax Films was first found in 1979 by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, and was primarily known for the distribution and production of independent and foreign film, Until 1993 when it was taken over by The Walt Disney Company. with movies such as Spy Kids, Scream and the Kill Bill films generating million of pounds for the motion picture company. In 2010 Miramax Films was sold to Filmyard Holdings.

Miramax Films is responsible for releasing films to the public either in DVD format or theatrically. The distributor is responsible for ensuring that all film prints of delivered to the cinemas or to the store, advertising, trailers, posters, television commercials and the physical production of the film. It's also responsible for dubbing and subtitling the film and securing cencorship and other legal or organizational approval.

This applys to my movie as Miramax Films has been responsible for the distribution of thousands of films. All films need a distributor, if not the film makes no money, in fact the film loses money. Therefore distribution and production companies are extremely important and therefore if my film was going tro be made, then i'd need a distributor/production company much like Miramax.

Paramount Pictures is America's longest existing film studio, starting in 1912, since they have made Billions of Dollars from endless franchises such as Indiana Jones and Transformers, too films that are considered timeless classics such as China Town and The Godfathers. The studio is currently owned by Viacom and continues to distribute movie after movie.
